Στα φετινά βραβεία Pulitzer, τα οποία κλείνουν 101 χρόνια, οι New York Times πήραν 3 βραβεία και ήταν το μόνο έντυπο που πήρε περισσότερα από ένα και ο David Farenthold κέρδισε το βραβείο National Reporting.

Βραβεύθηκε επίσης το εξαιρετικό βιβλίο του Colson Whitehead, The Underground Railroad, το οποίο πολύ σύντομα θα το δούμε στη μικρή οθόνη από την Amazon TV σε σκηνοθεσία Barry Jenkins (Moonlight).
